growing up in the motor city, you're just born with some type of weird love for automotive.
I’ve always loved cars and everything automotive, and growing up in Detroit made that feel less like a hobby and more like something that was just part of who I am. When you’re surrounded by the sound, history, and pride of the auto industry, that grit gets built into you early, and for me it was reinforced at home. My dad grew up working in the industry, doing CNC, CMM, tool and die work, fixture building, and model making for cars, and watching him shape how I see engineering. Some of my favorite memories are going to his shop and just soaking it all in with machines humming, parts taking shape, and the feeling that every small detail mattered because it all led to something bigger on the road. That combination of growing up in Detroit and watching my dad work made my love for cars feel natural and deeply rooted.
My love for old school cars
I’ve always had a deep love for old school cars, the kind that carry history in every detail, and that passion really grew from my childhood experiences. Growing up, going to the Woodward Dream Cruise every year was a tradition, and it felt like stepping into a rolling museum of automotive culture. Seeing classic muscle cars, restored hot rods, and vintage cruisers lining Woodward Avenue left a lasting impression on me. Let’s not forget the Detroit Auto Show & Autorama!
vintage, with a twist.
The photo below shows an art piece designed in Safety Harbor, FL. My boyfriend is also an avid photographer so we went out to explore that day. We came across a house that was dedicated souley to art for the public to roam and embrace. This car old bug was sitting outside in the front yard and I thought it was so fun and corky. Definitely had to snap a shot of it.
Enhancing photos to BRING THEM TO LIFE
I rely on Adobe Lightroom to help me enhance my photos, especially anything automotive. It really helps with bringing color to life, edges, curves and anything with detail.
Here’s a little before & after action to the left & above.
